For a guy with social anxieties, I certainly have had my share of social visits lately which is ironic as I tend to hide and stay sequestered in my home when I am not working. Charlie’s oldest son, Al, came by early this morning. He had a new record player that interfaces with your computer. He asked me to turn all his vinyl records into mp3s. It is going to be a big job, but Charlie and Al are like family to me. I would have never got offered that job in forestry as a research technician if it wasn’t for Al. Luckily, Maggie and Caramel didn't bark the whole time Al was here. They are both still unsure about him, though.
Charlie and my Father were on the heels of Al this morning as well. They were joking around and acting silly this morning. Dad loves for me to tell the tales of my mother in her younger years. He's says my mother and I are uncannily like each other. Mom could do some pretty interesting stuff back then. I shy away from telling all those tales about mom lately, though, worried it would hurt her feelings.
My father has gotten to where he stops by almost every day. He says he is checking on Maggie and Caramel – making sure they have food and water. It is just a guise to give my father a chance to be nosy and meddlesome. Dad insists that the cleanliness of my hose is a direct barometer of how I am doing mentally. I also caught dad going through my kitchen cabinets this morning looking for contraband.

Like you said, ain't it grand proving the naysayers wrong. Kudos to you Andrew.
I can't believe he is still looking!
He should know by now although I'm sure it's just an excuse to stay close..
Dads will be dads.
Dang that would drive me crazy!!
