“I haven’t seen what you ordered for Christmas yet,” my father told me tonight inquisitively. “Christmas was helter skelter so let’s have a gander and see. Those computer parts sure are expensive.”
I showed my father my two new giant high definition Samsung LED – LCD displays, the 2/5 Ghz wireless broadband router, and my new 12X ASUS Blu-Ray burner.
“It's like you’re speaking a different language,” my father replied about my computer speak or so he says. My father knows more about computers than he lets on, though. His pharmacy has slowly been brought into 21 century piece by piece.
Dad was running really, really late tonight – much later than normal. I was getting perturbed and aggravated, and was about to lock the door and head to bed. I was sitting on the edge of my bed taking the shoes off my perpetually cold feet when he knocked on the door. Of course, Maggie went bat shiat bananas at my father’s arrival. It will take me about an hour to get her calmed back down now and in the bed. I have some tricks in my armada of things to control Maggie's behavior, though – It’s just your plain old back scratch she enjoys so much and is addicted to. I think it calms her and puts her to sleep every time.
