Yesterday afternoon, I picked up one of those tethered dog leashes that are retractable and have a long reach. This morning, Maggie and I gave it a try. Maggie was kind of apprehensive to get too far from me at first, but she did give it the good old college try. This gives her much more freedom on our walks. She will be an old hat at it in about a week I am sure. Ah Bless… Maggie is obsessed with these walks and I am quite fond of them myself now that I am committed to doing them. Maggie is my four legged and furry pep rally at 3am every morning.
A Disappointments of the Kinder Kind…
3:26am… I just drove all the way to my parent’s house and mom forgot to put my sodas on the porch. What does Andrew do? During my Pre-freedom days I would just be shiat out of luck and sad. I would then kick up some dust in aggravation and drive home feeling dejected. I drove right over to Fat Albert’s below their house and bought a six-pack of Cokes. No longer am I exclusively tied to my parents as far as money and material things are concerned. If you don’t put the Cokes out, then I will just go buy some. It was a rather nice and independent feeling to have. A very, very good feeling to have. One of these days, I might even get the chance to become a grownup.
One of the prettier sunrises in recent memory…

Lovely!
Maggie will love having more room to run once she gets used to it! You are both so good for each other, pets do motivate us!
I love that you have pocket money to get your own cokes or a meal now Andrew, I remember days you didn't have a dollar in your pocket to call your own. How far you've come and how awesome that you are starting to take charge of your own life! Go Andrew!!
Forgot to say that your sunrise was gorgeous! I love that time of day best of all!
