The Cold Snap Reigns Supreme Here…

I don’t have very much to say today other than I about froze my gonads off walking Maggie this morning.  It was perfect walking weather for her, though.  Her sores are on the mend and she is back up to snuff.  It was like “unleash the hounds,” as she bolted through my front door. She really strutted her stuff this early Saturday morning periodically stopping only to assert her canine authority with a menacing bark at all things that go bump in the night.

I, on the other hand, am finding it problematic to not smoke inside. The first thing I did this morning was to pick up a pack of Newport menthol and almost lit up. Out to the chilly porch I went. I also aired out my house yesterday with every window and storm window open to clear the air. I love that fresh  smell of spring in the air. I then began to wash curtains and bed linens to remove some of the “ashtray” smell in the house. Maggie’s going to have a smoke--free home from now on if I die trying.

Dad changed the open hours at the Pharmacy from a 2pm close to now at a 12pm close on Saturday.  It will be nice as I won't have to wait so long to see him.  Well will do our usual ritual of showing each other neat stuff on the iPad and to check and see if Maggie has enough food and water.

I'm still having trouble posting comments. Let's see if this works.

Sir:

Why does Maggie need a "smoke-free" home?
