Errands Around Town…

stormy_sky_stock_2_by_night_fate_stock“Where are you all at?” my father asked me sounding exasperated over my cell phone.

“We are at the library after leaving the grocery store,” I replied back.

“Only your mother and Charlie would be out when tornado sirens are blaring. You all need to get home. It is going to get bad.”

I chuckled with a big grin on my face as I turned off my phone. I was keeping close tabs on the weather with that same phone.

My mother had a ton of books to donate to our local library.  It took me three trips to get them all out of her trunk and inside on the counter.

14527“These are recent classics!” the librarian said in excitement and with a thankful smile. .

I noticed Mom was donating the Twilight Saga of books.  I loved reading them, but I didn’t care for the movies at all.

Mom and I then headed home up highway 29 and it would then be my job to put up all the groceries.  I got busy toting bags out of mom’s trunk and backseat into the pantry.

“That goes here and that goes there,” mom said directing me.

“And that goes upstairs,” she said of the buttermilk I was then holding.

We dodged the bullet south of Atlanta, but it was really bad in North GA. I don't ignore the tornado warnings.
