There was no soul more happy to walk than my dear Maggins this morning. She bolted out my front door at a furious pace with me in tow. We walked all the way down to the Circle K convenience store once again and back. I had to have my morning .99 cent cup of hot cocoa. The temperatures were quite nice as well this morning. In the mid-sixties. It felt almost balmy. I walked in a t-shirt it was so warm. This forebodes bad weather I am afraid as it often does in the South.
My father told me last night to be careful of tying Maggie to the post outside the convenience store.
“What if she bites somebody?” he asked me last night always pooping on my parade. “You would most likely get sued and they would put Maggie to sleep.”
I did admit that this has entered my mind before. I just have never seen a mean bone in Maggie’s body except when it concerns cats. Now, cats bring out the vicious side of my dog. That, and the meter reader as well, but she doesn’t bite him. She just barks for two hours driving me crazy.
A Break of the Fast…
Maggie and I had a quick and sugar fueled breakfast this morning. We had microwave warmed honey buns. They are so decadently good, gooey, and sweet. I didn’t have time to fix anything extravagant or more nourishing this morning. The honey buns are a guilty little pleasure of mine. I put four buns on a plate in the microwave for 40 seconds and they come out just right. Maggie snarfs them down about as fast as I can put them on a plate. Needless to say she gets only one.
Helen is cooking today! I wonder what she will prepare? My father usually asks me for some insight on what to get her to cook. The dog food fiasco got us waylaid last night. I am not promising anything, but will try to get photos of my meal on the blog.
Taking Care of Business…
“Maggie’s food has run out,” my father told me last night looking very dismayed and embarrassed as we began Maggie’s food and water ritual.
My father is supposed to be keeping up with this kind of thing hence the food and water ritual we have every night for Maggie. Dad does the dog food and I clean and fill Maggie’s water bowl with fresh water.
“Call mom!” I told my father very encouragingly. “She always keeps an extra bag in the pantry just for these occurrences!”
“You think so?” dad asked, hoping to avoid the grocery store.
Mom certainly did have a big bag of dog food in the pantry. I went last night to pick it up along with getting today’s sodas. Mom also put out an envelope of my contacts with a little note that read to not sleep with them on. I smiled broadly and then laughed.
More Computer Jargon…
Well, I couldn’t leave well enough alone. I am playing with fire it seems. I went to bed last night with my processor overclocked to 3.25 Gigahertz up from 2.8 Gigahertz. I ran stress tests all night and my computer was still stable this morning when I woke up. I thought a 450 Megahertz increase was pretty cool. I didn’t even have to increase the core voltage.

My Mom used to put a little butter on those honey buns and eat them after warming them up, of course. :)
Typical breakfast for my father, he loved those things. On a nostalgia trip a few months ago, I bought some and eagerly bit into one...
Guess I'm not accustomed to anything that sweet anymore. I still get chills remembering the taste.
Glad you enjoy them!
