Baked chicken medallions, cheesy scalloped potatoes, glazed undercooked carrots, and green beans. Dessert was some of those vanilla crème cookies I mentioned earlier. Dad would call those green beans “Yankee Beans” as no pork fat was involved in the preparation.
Little Coddled Me…
“What happened to you?” my father asked me as he walked towards my car last night, “You are always at home.”
I had just pulled into my driveway and was climbing out of my car.
“I drove over to your house to get my Cokes tonight instead of in the morning,” I replied. “It is supposed to be raining in the morning. I forgot my cellphone at home.”
You could hear my cellphone ringing in the den from where we stood in my yard. Dad was very visibly relieved and gave me a hug.
“I thought something bad had happened to you and that you may have had a psychotic break!” he exasperatedly told me. “I got on my cellphone and started making calls to find you. Charlie's been mobilized as well.”
Overreaction maybe? I guess it is okay to be loved and worried about. Dad was all fuss and feathers as my grandmother would say.
Even I Get Exasperated By Computers…
I have 18 Gigabytes of memory installed in my main computer – the computer I use everyday. Well, I flashed the BIOS to the latest version and it is saying I only have 14 Gigabytes installed. if I flash back to the old BIOS then it’s back to the slow boot that’s been plaguing my computer for weeks now. It will show 18 Gigabytes of RAM, though.

Oh that looks so good. I've eaten supper not too long ago and that makes me hungry again.
