Recuperating My Losses…

I slept very well all night and slept most of the day as well.  Maggie woke me up around 4am for a potty break and I drove over to get my sodas, but mom forgot to put them out.  That was so disappointing as I had to get out on a very cold morning and warm up the car – very heavy frost on the windshield. I drove to Circle K to get two 20oz sodas. I came back home defeated and went back to bed. Charlie woke me up again at 9am with McDonald’s sausage biscuits for Maggie and I with no complaints from us at all.  We ate and went back to bed again.  It is 3pm and I am just now stirring about.  Maggie slept on the bed with me throughout all of this so she must have needed a break as well. I needed to recharge my batteries for next week it seems.

0002113150720_500X500It is suddenly Sunday so that means grocery day beckons tomorrow.  My mother will show up around 3pm after her beauty salon appointment.as usual with a car trunk full of food. I’ve already chosen my first meal after mom leaves.  I want the Marie Callendar's meal chicken parmigianna.   It is a breaded and baked chicken patty with penne pasta and a really good marinara sauce.  It also comes with a vegetable medley that always needs lots of salt to taste good. My mother always asks me what I am going to eat first after her delivery.

I just called my father trying to rustle up some afternoon grub and he informed me that Charlie is cooking hamburgers tonight. W00t!  The way to my heart is definitely through my stomach just like my cohort Maggie.

“If you can wait till 8pm, you will have one of Charlie’s hamburger meals,” my father told me over the phone. “He said he was going to put an extra hamburger on your plate.”

Maggie always hates to miss anything that is going on.  It seems she sleeps with one eye open at times. She is fully cognizant if what I am doing in this photograph.
