This happens to me from time to time. I get a terrible sweet tooth, and I mean terrible. This afternoon you would have found me standing in the Piggly Wiggly dessert aisle surveying my options. I bought a small lemon merengue pie and headed home. My sweet tooth was acting up and it doesn’t get any sweeter than an Edwards lemon merengue pie. Sometimes it can be too sweet for even me to be honest.
When I arrived home, Charlie’s car was in my driveway. Charlie and mom are the only two people that have keys to my house.
“Hello?” I asked loudly as I opened the front door.
“It’s just me,” Charlie said poking his head out of my laundry room. “I put you some cold Cokes in the fridge and now I am folding your clothes.”
I smiled. Charlie is probably one of the busier men I have ever encountered in my life. He can run his business and run yours as well if you let him.
“You really shouldn’t be washing your white clothes with your colored clothes,” Charlie told me.
I acted like I didn’t hear that. I then bragged about Charlie and that he grilled one of the best ribeyes in the Valley. That diverted his attention.
“I am going to get Horsefly’s chicken finger meal in a minute. Do you want a three piece chicken box or four?” Charlie asked.
“Get me the four piece box so Maggie can have some,” I replied..
I tried to pay Charlie for my meal, but he wouldn’t have any of it.
Charlie was soon back in my driveway with Maggie’s and my grub. He put another load of clothes in the washing machine and headed off to do no telling what.

Lemon Meringue, my favorite too! Maggie is one lucky girl to have two men to look out for her, you and Charlie, blessed.
Have u seen the one piece of pie sold in the frozen food section? Mmy parents get those...well actually my dad buys them because my mother doesn't bake much anymore.
I'm suffering from the same thing. I just put a buttermilk custard pie in the oven.
We have to have some type of chocolate in the house always..lol.
