Troubleshooting -- May the Computer Gods Shine Down Upon Us…

P_500I still have one more nagging problem when it concerns my computer.  Occasionally, sometimes it will recognize all 24 Gigs of ram.  Sometimes it will only recognize 14 Gigs of ram..   I know it has to do with my BIOS not recognizing the full amount.  Right now, the BIOS is showing 24 gigs of RAM.  I will try some different BIOS and see if that does the trick . Hey, but I love troubleshooting this kind of thing so it is right up my alley. I will figure out things eventually in a “eureka!” moment. I will soon hit the computer hardware message boards for more information.

That Sunny Sunday Kind of Morning…

0007874222938_500X500I am up very early for a Sunday morning.  I just drove over to get my ice cold sodas and they are heavenly as I sit here and sip on one while I write. Writing is just not the same without it.  It is cold this morning, though.  I about froze my ole derriere off going to get them.  I thought my Honda would never warm up.  When it did? Ah, glorious heat!  Today’s in-car music was Steely Dan. The CD player worked despite all the odds stacked against it – cold and a scratched disc.

Maggie and I ate earlier.  I think we were both starving after sleeping all night,  We had a change of pace and I baked strawberry muffins from one of those store bought muffin mixes.  They are so simple to prepare and bake.  This has been a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember – Sunday morning muffins. The warm buttered muffins go beautifully with a glass of cold whole milk or sweet milk as Dad’s mother would call it..

Happy Birthday Charlie!

happy-birthday-bannerCharlie just stopped by with sodas and sausage biscuits for Maggie and I.  I didn’t expect this at all.

“How old are ya?” I asked him.

I almost forgot his birthday. Charlie turned 67 years old today. Now that I’ve gotten older and in my well seasoned 40s, I don’t consider 67 to be so old. Dad and Charlie are going as strong or stronger than they were when I was a child.

I marvel at your patience with the "nagging problems" with your computer. Such problems send me into a total tizzy. They make me want to throw the computer out the window.
