The Admiral’s Princess…

Dad was carrying on this afternoon that we may need to change Maggie’s title to “The Admiral’s Princess” in honor of the esteemed Admiral Yamamoto of the Japanese fleet in WWII. Dad and I both watched a public television show about the Battle of Midway last night.  My father and I can be very different about certain things and very, very alike with regards to others.

“Don’t be silly,” I told my father with a smile, “She is the Princess of Mauritania.”

Dad kept this kind of silly, but fun stuff going on throughout our childhoods and we would squeal with delight as kids. My sister would especially love dad doing these kinds of antics with our pets.

Not much going on here in Andrew-land.   I drove over to see my mother for awhile this afternoon and got some Chef Boyardee and lemonades in return. Mom was worried in that I didn’t get very many this week.  Mom was also very frumpy as usual – still attired in her sleeping kit.

I need to vacuum my house because of dog hair, but I couldn’t get up the wherewithal to do it.  I just didn’t want to do anything today.  The longest time I’ve been on the computer all day was to check my morning reads and to write this post. I just took my nightly medications and they sedate me very much so that means I will be going to bed before sundown most likely.

Another family down the street moved out and away this week.  Dad was joking today that I was the only original inhabitant of the street left. Ed Penley up at the corner passed away. Joyce Lashley, my dear neighbor and confidant, also died, The man who wrote children’s books across the street moved away, and of course, my drug dealing neighbor next door went to jail forfeiting his property to the state in the process.

Does anybody else reading play computer games?  I am seriously thinking of starting back playing and becoming a gamer again. I have a ton of time on my hands and I think if would be fun.  My only limitation is my video card. I have an antiquated Geforce GTX 260 circa 2009. The current series is the 600 series..
