Tomorrow is Helen Fridays and we are slowly getting back on track as far as when it concerns our daily routines. I crave routines these days just like Horsefly loves the bowling alley and shaving cream.
“What do you want our Helen to cook?” my father asked me a moment ago as we sat on my couch.
Maggie was vying for both my father’s and my attention.
“Let’s have cubed steak, rice, and gravy,” I replied to my father. “Oh, and have Helen bake some of those Pillsbury crescent rolls.”
I then told my father that the crescent rolls would be in the back of the store with the canned biscuits. He was intrigued. He had never tried them. My ex-wife baked them all the time.
“What do you want for dessert?” my father then asked me.
“Chocolate pudding,” I replied after thinking for a few short moments.
Dad left my house a moment ago to head to the grocery store and buy all the ingredients for tomorrow's meal. About 3PM tomorrow my mother will pull up in front of my house and honk her horn several times with the evening’s supper. Our very own version of meals on wheels.
I just tried to call my father on his cellphone. He usually likes pear salad with each meal. I was going to suggest we have peaches and cottage cheese as tomorrow's salad.. Alas, I can’t get him to answer his phone.

It is good to see Helen is back. I hope her cellulitis is cleared up and she is back to 100 percent. The food sounds delicious I have to admit, especially the biscuit and gravy. I used to eat Jack's all the time. Good stuff.
crescent rolls wrapped around a hotdog and baked are also good...more of a meal...add a little mac and cheese and your good to go!!
